ADAM SCOTT TRUSTS NEW
TITLEIST ADVANCED PERFORMANCE IRONS IN RECORD-SETTING VICTORY
Captures
as Scott fired a record-setting 11-under 61 en route to his 13th career victory
and World Number 4 ranking. In addition to his trust in the Pro
V1 golf ball, Adam experienced the advanced performance and pure feel of new Titleist AP irons. In just his second start with his
new AP2 irons,
putting them into the bag with success last week at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship,
Scott established a new course record while posting his
personal best round as a professional. That's both Titleist
advanced performance and winning performance. And technology you can
count on.
- The win was Scott's second in two tries at the event, first winning it in 2002.
- Scott's 20-under par 268 total matched the tournament record previously set
in 1999.
- Scott started the final round three shots off the lead, but posted five birdies
in the first five holes, en route to 11 birdies on the day.
- In addition to the Pro V1 golf ball, the Titleist
ambassador relied upon a full bag of Titleist golf
clubs, including the new AP2 irons.
- Scott becomes the first player to win with the new AP2 irons on the worldwide
professional tours, a week after Martin Kaymer became
the first
player to win with the new Titleist ZM Forged irons
with his first career victory at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship. -The AP2 and
ZM Forged are two of the four new irons introduced by Titleist
for 2008. For more information and downloadable images of the new irons, please

690 2-iron
AP2 irons (3-9)

(56) and lob (60) wedges

- Titleist was the most played golf ball at the event
with 71 players relying on the Pro V1 or Pro V1x, more than three times the
nearest
competitor with 20. Scott's win marks the fifth for Titleist
golf ball players on the 2008 PGA European Tour season, more than all other
golf
balls combined.
