Grand Reserve Opens

Bunnell, FL--January—Grand Reserve Golf Course, located in Bunnell, Florida, opened for play

on January 5, 2008. The par 71, 6,500-yard public access golf course was designed by

Michael Beebe, ASGCA of Palm Coast, Florida and Bill Amick, ASGCA of Daytona

Beach, Florida.

The golf course is routed amongst a series of hardwood wetlands typical of Northeast

Florida and utilizes these wetlands to enhance the aesthetics of the golf course. According

to Beebe, “the golf course was designed with an emphasis on making the course user

friendly for a wide range of skill levels. We have intentionally limited forced carries on

the course and have emphasized strategy rather than target golf. We have encouraged the

use of the ground to play a variety of shots rather than forcing golfers to hit every shot

high and soft. The golf course should be quite enjoyable for all skill levels with enough

challenge to keep the better golfers alert even though the course is not long by today’s

standards.”

The course is owned and operated by Mike Pullen of Capstone Golf. “Capstone is

committed to public golf and understands the importance of growing the game of golf

through continued access to affordable golf in local communities,” Beebe said. The golf

course contractor for Grand Reserve was Course Crafters, Inc. of Gainesville, Georgia.
